She explained that though she trusts her husband, she wouldn’t let him bathe for their daughter.
“I love, trust and respect you! It was an error and I’m really sorry! It was not my intention. I love, trust and respect you. It was a slip.
“I have learnt my lesson. You do not deserve all the horrible things people have said about you. I’m doing this on TV and I would do it again.”
Afolabi-Brown had, on her show, Your View, on Wednesday, while they were discussing the menace of child molestation in the country, said she wouldn’t allow her husband to bathe their daughter, out of fear that he might molest her.Awww. She cried! But very good of her to have apologized to her husband for the embarrassment she brought upon her via her good point but poorly communicated. pic.twitter.com/lFEXW9uu4i— Oma Akatugba (@omaakatugba) December 7, 2018
As seen on TVC’s verified Twitter, Afolabi-Brown said, “I absolutely trust my husband, but I won’t take chances and have him bathe my daughter, because whether we like it or not, there is something flying in the air these days that is encouraging imbalance and immoralities.”
She added, “I actually trust my husband, but I’m just being careful because people that have experienced this kind of situation also trusted their husbands and yet, it happened.”
Although her apology didn't trend like her slip did, people have reacted to the emotional video, see comments from Ebuka Obi Uchendu and others:
