A statement issued on Monday in Ibadan by Mrs Ibironke Fatoki, the Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, said the school was shut following an incident of arson in the school on Friday.
It said the act was carried out by some miscreants after a violent protest by junior secondary school students on Thursday.
The statement said that the state government had set up a six-man administrative panel to examine the immediate and remote causes of the incident.
It said that the panel was expected to submit its report within seven working days.
