That name might not mean much to the average JUST BLEED! mixed martial arts (MMA) fan, but Nasukawa is dangerous enough to have UFC color commentator, Joe Rogan, worried for the “Money” team when the action gets underway on Dec. 31 in Saitama.
As for Conor McGregor, the last man to face (and lose to) Mayweather, he was too busy making Rush Hour movie jokes following the official RIZIN 14 staredowns, comparing the 41 year-old pugilist and his overseas counterpart to actors Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan.
Nasukawa was unfazed.
It should be noted that Chan was born in Hong Kong, while Nasukawa is from Japan’s Chiba Prefecture.
Mayweather will forever be linked to UFC, at least as long as McGregor is around, because a “Money” fight is guaranteed to bring beaucoup bucks at the box office. It also gives hope to MMA fighters with pro boxing dreams (like this guy).
No word yet on what arrangements, financial or otherwise, will be in play for Dec. 31.
