According to 2Baba and Banky W who has been very opinionated on political decadence and topical issues in the country, the music stars gave their two cents on their individual Twitter pages.
The music artists said politicians are playing musical chairs with the country’s destiny and advised Nigerians not to fight one another over their manipulations.
Banky W opined that the punishment for youths not getting involved in politics is that they end up with selfish leaders like these.
He also urged Nigerians to get their Permanent Voters Cards to stop the era of selfish leaders in the country.
“Only a few know exactly what went down at the national assembly. now poor ordinary Nigerians have taken sides and are fighting each other.
“pls don’t let these politicians fool u. there’s no shame in their game anymore.”
Banky W also wrote;
“Politicians are playing musical chairs with our country’s destiny. Instead of us coming together & cancelling ALL of them, some of us are picking sides, fighting on their behalf & FALSELY accusing ourselves. News flash: They’re ALL out 4 SelfInterest. We need an entirely new path.
“It’s a chess game between two sides.. aren’t we tired of being pawns yet? No? We are just going to sit here and fight/falsely accuse ourselves, on behalf of leaders on both sides of the aisle, most of whom have clearly shown that we are the ones they care LEAST about?
“Cancel all of em. It’s a chess game, and we are the pawns. It’s a damn comedy show, and the joke is on us. It has always been.
“Permit me to paraphrase.. the punishment for us not getting involved in politics, is that we end up with leaders like these. What we should be doing is working TOGETHER to build a new way forward. Not throwing stones and falsely accusing each other.
“Those of us that have registered to vote for 2019, vote with your conscience. But it isn’t just about 2019. It’s about building a new viable option going forward. Aren’t we sick of all of them already?? Haven’t they all had enough chances to do and be better?
“I’m hoping to work with whoever wants to build something new. We have the numbers to do it. But we are busy playing their game and picking sides. We are no better than the generations that got us in this mess.
“Cancel ALL of em. It’s a chess game, and we are the pawns. It’s a damn comedy show, and the joke is on us. We need to create a new path. Why pick sides in a lose-lose situation?”
Meanwhile, 2Baba’s tweet has garnered over 157 comments 1.1K retweets and 2.5K likes

Many Nigerians on Twitter also said that Saraki and the Presidency are just fooling Nigerians with the drama that ensued on Tuesday morning.
Some pitched their tent with some PDP and APC politicians who have been releasing all sorts of statements either condemning or praising the NASS and the presidency.
However, some also lambasted the celebrities claiming that have been bought by some politicians.

Is that not the same woman that was shouting at the DSS operative? It's all about their own selfish interest.— Sixtus Henry (@SixtusHenry1) August 7, 2018
@bukolasaraki planned the siege to whip up sentiments in his favour. The Acting President said that much when they fired the DSS Director for acting on his own based on Saraki's instruction.— Ernest Uti (@Appk2009) August 7, 2018
Many versions of what transpired today at NASS. Many conspiracy theories. Many conjectures. Many hypotheses...One Game!— Makazona (@50Arinze) August 7, 2018
DSS on the rampage; Senate President stopped from coming out of his house, National Assembly blocked by masked men but you don't see anything wrong in it as you have refused to lend your voice to a very meaningful cause.— DiamondAddict💎💎💎 (@diamondAddict1) August 8, 2018
