The afro-soul song is the lead single from his sixth album, Oṣó, a Yoruba word for wizard.
In the video, Brymo, almost stark naked, emerges from the water and is seen walking around with nothing but a loincloth covering his groin area.
Recorded under a bridge in Lagos Island, the video captures the beauty of the lagoon city in its ruggedness. This comes at a time when only a few Nigerian singers are not willing to push the boundaries music-wise. Mixed reactions have trailed Brymo’s latest move with some criticising him.
See some of the hilarious reactions revealing secret behind Brymo’s new music video and art in it:

Y’all just too used to “red cup-lingerie-winter jacket wearing ass guys-throwing money in the air-twerking girls” type of music and videos.— YINGIBOERE (@yingi_flemmming) March 29, 2018
Y’all used to bandana on the head-winter jacket artiste. So, all of a sudden, Brymo has triggered all of your senses.
My tweet shows the reasons why Brymo is better than Fela, vocal/lyrics/composure, you and your block head haven't said anything that shows Fela is a better musician, I'm waiting & please don't mention his achievements thank you— Hanno Lo'Omo⚪ (@HannoPonDaBeat) March 29, 2018
Looool you people are your ludicrous double standards. Brymo has just his added out and there's outrage while your bare minimum Nigerian videos with girls wearing thongs or going completely naked gets to be deemed 'okay' there's nothing wrong with that one. Rubbish— Morticia (@Kimberly_Wotas) March 29, 2018
I respect Brymo's undiluted art. A lot.— Kelvin Odanz (@KelvinOdanz) March 29, 2018
Let me ask you this question:
Will the amount of people who currently know about this song/album be as much if he didn't go nude? I am talking about the present reach/vitality of this song.
Let's agree his talent is constant.

Brymo goes naked in his “Heya” video.
People: He is a disgrace, so absurd, immoral & terrible. He has lost it!
If you don’t like Brymo’s content, you are in the right place. You are not his audience and he is not pretending about that. Those who understand his art appreciate him.— JJ. Omojuwa (@Omojuwa) March 28, 2018
What if something bites Brymo's bumbum. Pressing piano inside bush nitori olorun— oluwadamilola (@d_amilola_) March 27, 2018

His art. His canvas. His form of expression. You don't have to understand. It's not for everyone. You're a momemt guy - i bet you have a fanny pack now. His music is timeless.
