The Sundowns have made clear that they are making a major announcement at 9pm Tuesday NZT, including a photo of Bolt while he was training with Mamelodi FC.
Bolt trained with the Sundowns, who signed Jeremy Brockie during the January transfer window, at the end of January.
In their tweet to fans, Mamelodi said "football will never be the same. Find out tomorrow 8am GMT".
Bolt tweeted on Monday that he had signed for a football team. "Find out which one this Tuesday at 8am GMT".
Bolt was set to have a trial at German giants Borussia Dortmund in March, but with his upcoming announcement that could be put on hold.
"I'm normally used to Ben Sigmund coming down to Wellington Phoenix training, so having Usain Bolt was a bit of a different scale," Brockie said of their first meeting last month.
"We got a message from our team manager saying we had a special visitor coming on Monday. It was meant to be a day off but we came in and there he was.
"There were rumours circulating that Bolt was going to be there, but until I saw it with my own eyes I didn't really want to believe it.
"It was awesome to rub shoulders with one of the biggest celebrities and athletes in the world. It was a great experience and something I won't forget."
Brockie is yet to break his duck with the Sundowns, so perhaps some pace on the wing could help him get on the score sheet. SHARE THIS STORY USING ANY OF THE BUTTON BELOW ⬇ PLACE YOUR TEXT ADVERT BELOW ⬇⬇⬇
