|Adedoyin Gaga narrated the story|
Taking to Instagram to narrate the story, Gaga wrote: "I never took the campaign against Police brutality serious because I have never had direct encounter with them until this night. My boyfriend came visiting so I accompanied him to his car and decided to do some chitchat in the car when suddenly a black golf car with no plate number parked beside us and started asking questions after claiming to b police officers ( they were on mufti and I swear they looked like kidnappers or armed robbers sef) I told them that I was in front of my house and that's my boyfriend, they asked why he did not enter and talk inside if he was actually my boyfriend. I explained to them that he was actually inside before and was about taking his leave. They asked what he does for a living and he said he’s a student, they asked for his ID card which he showed them, then they asked for mine too and I told them how do they expect me to have my ID card at that spot. They told me to provide it still so I had to go inside to pick it. I told my sisters what happened and they followed me outside. After seeing d ID card they asked if we live alone and we told them we live with my Mum who is not in town. My sister asked if they want to talk to her that she can call her.
|The alleged female police officer who slapped the lady's sister|
The police man suddenly shouted at my sister and asked her who she think our mum is, then they asked for her school, she told them she's a student of Kwara Poly and the police asked why she's staying in GRA and not Eleko that is close to the school. My sister asked them what right they had to dictate were she should live then one of them who is a woman asked her to shut up or she shut her up herself. My sister said she can’t keep quiet because they are abusing her right, and even ask them which right they have to harass us in front of our house. The police woman just slapped my sister that she's rude. That was how we all became furious that how will she slap a lady who hasn’t done anything. My sister took her phone out to record so she can get pictures of the police so we can report at the nearby station since they did not wear uniform and we don't know their names. The woman dragged the phone from my sister, bite her hand and smashed her phone on the floor. Some guys driving by stopped to interfere. Those police later ran away when they saw that we ain’t taking there shit no more. Bruh dis is dehumanizing and unacceptable, my sister's hand aches so badly (she got blood from the bite) and her phone is spoilt. WE WANT JUSTICE."
