Horror: Shocking Moment 6-year-old Boy Was Sent Flying Through the Air as Car Smashes into Him on The Street

A young boy has been sent flying through the air as a car smashes into him on the street in completely horrific accident.
A horrific video has shown the terrible moment a six-year-old boy was hit by a car as he crossed the road.

The youngster was sent flying through the air after being hit by a blue Ford.

He was running through the streets of Blackpool, Lancashire, at the time of the horror smash.

Amazingly, he escaped the scene with only minor cuts and bruises.

The clip has been released by police in a bid to warn parents of the dangers their children face.

PC Tim Taylor said the boy was "lucky" after the crash.

He added: "The vast majority of parents teach their children about road safety and how to safely cross the road.

"We know many schools provide advice to youngsters too.

“The footage is a warning to all people of what can happen if you ignore those rules."

The accident happened outside Tesco Express at around 6:30pm on Sunday, October 15.

“Remember, find the safest place to cross, stop before you get to the kerb and look around for traffic and listen," PC Taylor added.

"If traffic is coming, let it pass and when it is safe, walk straight across the road, don’t run.”
