The 23-time Grand Slam champion – who gave birth during the tournament – is delighted to see two of her compatriots lining up to battle it out in the Arthur Ashe Stadium on Saturday, despite Stephens taking her sister Venus out in the semi-finals.
Williams enjoyed a period of real dominance ahead of her pregnancy and even won the Australian Open while pregnant at the start of the year.
But she could not hide her joy at seeing two fellow Americans flying the flag in her absence and she hopes to see the pair continue to enjoy success in Grand Slams over the years.
‘There are NO words to describe how proud and happy I am for @Madison_Keys and @SloaneStephens for making the US Open finals,’ she posted on Twitter.
‘These amazing women continue to change the game and bring excellence, power, finesse and change to tennis. ‘What a joy it will be to watch this – hopefully first of many finals.PLACE YOUR TEXT ADVERT BELOW:>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> How I Made Me =N=2.5 MILLION In 7 Days from 2 Common Product I Imported and how you can do the same.
