Recession: Nigerians should thank God we’re surviving the hardship, says Cleric

A Cleric, Pastor Ademola Popoola has asked Nigerians to always be grateful to God in spite of the present economic recession in the country.

Popoola, of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, gave the advice on Tuesday in Ilorin.

According to him, Nigerians must continue to thank God that the country was in economic recession and not war.

“Let every Nigerian thank God we are still surviving the hardship, let us assume it is a war we have been battling with all this while, I think things would have been worst.

“What do you expect countries like Sudan, Rwanda and Liberia to say after their recent social unrest,’’ he asked.

The pastor, however, called on Nigerians to be thankful to God and as well pray for the good of the country.

“With prayers, I believe the trying time will end, and we shall all enjoy the good of the land.’’
