Police Force Promise Quick Rescue Of Kidnapped Lagos pupils

The Police on Thursday assured parents of six students abducted from a school in Lagos that they would be rescued soon.

The students were kidnapped by gunmen at Lagos State Model College, Epe, on May 25.

The police also allayed fears that the pupils’ case would be like that of the Chibok school girls.

Speaking in Abuja, the Force Spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, said: “Their case will be not like the Chibok girls, at all. Hands are on deck to ensure that these children are rescued alive.

“The public might not be hearing anything about them but we are doing our best to ensure their quick release.

“We share the pains, anguish and emotion of the parents for missing their children for this period. But we want to assure them and Nigerians that we are doing our best and very soon, they would be rescued.

“We are also working with relevant stakeholders to ensure their safety and several people are carried along. But what is paramount is to get them alive out of captivity.”
