A statement made available to newsmen yesterday said all intending pilgrims must be screened at the permanent hajj camp, Bassan Jiwa, near the Nnmadi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja before embarking on the spiritual journey.
Aliyu said, the screening is in compliance with instructions from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCO, with intentions to screen and assess medical record of intending pilgrims before the journey.
Timetable for the screening include; Pilgrims from Abaji and Kwali Area council are scheduled for Tuesday 18th July 201, intending Pilgrims from Kuje and AMAC would be screened on Wednesday 19th July 2017, while those from Bwari and Gwagwalada would have their screening on Thursday, 20th July, 2017.
He said all screening exercises would be carried out at the permanent hajj camp and he urged all intending pilgrims to be at the venue at 8 o’clock on their scheduled dates, with evidence of payment.
He stressed that failure to attend the screening may result in losing of hajj seat for the year.
Also, The Board is to provide vaccine for intending pilgrims by 8am on 21st and 22nd July, 2017. Intending Pilgrims from Gwagwalada, Kwali and Abaji area council are scheduled for Friday, 21st July while intending Pilgrims from Kuje, Bwari and AMAC are to receive their vaccine on Saturday 22nd July, 2017.
