Three students and a lecturer kidnapped by gunmen on Friday have regained freedom from their captives.
The students and lecturer from the School of Midwifery, Tudun-Wada in Kaduna State, were kidnapped along the Birnin-Gwari road, Birnin-Gwari Local Government of the state.

They were travelling in a Toyota Coaster bus on a visit to one of their colleagues hospitalised in the area when they ran into the kidnappers, who abducted the three students and the lecturer.

But on Sunday, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Media and Publicity, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, said they had regained freedom and were in good condition and already united with their families.

The state government, he said, commended security agencies and community leaders for the sustained efforts that led to their freedom.
