Police are currently searching for, Rashon A. Causey, a man who allegedly forced his way into the home of his child’s mother and stabbed her multiple times Monday night, resulting in her death.

According to New Jersey 101.1, the victim, Shanai Marshall,  died Tuesday of multiple stab wounds she suffered following Monday’s attack at her township home.

Police say 38-year-old Rashon A. Causey, with whom Marshall has a child, forced his way into the woman’s house on Monroe Street just before midnight on Monday and stabbed her multiple times, Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi said Wednesday.

Marshall was flown by helicopter to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton where she succumbed to her wounds Tuesday.
