The National Leader of APC. Bola TInubu had on Sunday called for Oyegun’s resignation over an alleged complicity in the party’s Primary in Ondo State.
Timi Frank, an astute critic of Oyegun in a press briefing on Monday said Tinubu’s outburst has further confirmed his earlier stance that John Oyegun is incompetent to lead the ruling party.
“’there was a conspiracy against me when I was questioning the competency of Oyegun, but today, God has vindicated me. The National Leader of our party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has concurred to my earlier call that Oyegun should resign as National Chairman, that should let you know I foresee what they didn’t see.” He said
Timi restated that there are numerous issues in the party adding that the Change Begins With Me Campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari must start with the party.
“I’m very happy that Mr President launched Change Begins with Me Campaign, for us, the change must start with the party for Nigerians to follow. It is only when they see the change in our party that’s when they follow suit.
Timi said based on the weighty allegations brought against Oyegun by the National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, an emergency National Executives Council Meeting (NEC) should be convened.
“If Oyegun know that what Ahmed Bola Tinubu has said is not true, I’m challenging him to immediately call for an emergency NEC Meeting for us to seat face to face and tell ourselves where we are getting it wrong because if we cannot resolve this crisis now, we cannot resolve it again”.
“There are lot of my colleagues that are complaining, today it is Tinubu that is shouting, more will still speak out because if we don’t do anything for this man to go… what happened to PDP may happen to us if the care is not taking.
“Today, I’m very happy to be alive to see that even of the founding fathers can be dealt with up to the level of coming out to cry openly with a powerful letter so I want to use this medium to appeal to President to intervene in this issue. It has come to the stage where the President must speak out and save our party. We want the President to see reason why I’m calling for this emergency NEC meeting.
Frank said going forward, he has started consultation with other members of the party’s National Executive Committee to give Oyegun a 14 day ultimatum to convene an emergency NEC meeting saying failure to do so will lead to wild protest at the party’s National Secretariat.
“today, I will begin to mobilize other NEC Members, I’m giving Oyegun 14 days to convene emergency NEC Meeting, failure to do so, I’ll mobilize party members to go and protest at the Secretariat of the party. Enough is enough” Frank submitted. PLACE YOUR TEXT ADVERT BELOW:>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
