Kanu in his petition to the National Judicial Council (NJC) called for an investigation into two different rulings giving by Justice Tsoho on an application by the Department of State Services (DSS) to protect its witnesses during his trial.

The judge had in first ruling said that a secret trial would not be conducted for Kanu but following an oral application by the prosecution, the judge in a second ruling, reversed the court’s order to permit the federal government protect its witnesses at the trial.

It will be recalled that John Tsoho of the Federal High Court had on Monday in Abuja stepped down from the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
